Give my regards to Broadway

This bad little blogger is very sorry for getting so behind on updates. Top priority to tell you about would have to be last weekend in New York City.

I know you're thinking, "Wait. Wasn't there a huge, freezing nor'easter that thrust half the East Coast into winter last weekend?"

The answer is yes. Yes, there was. And yes, my sister and I were all up in it, unprepared, very cold and, unfortunately, eventually sniffly. Click here for an accurate representation of that crazy day.

But it's New York, and snow doesn't get the Big Apple down. In fact, that single blustery day provided us with some unique travel experiences, such as seeking refuge in the madness of the Bloomingdales as hundreds of people threw down for rain and snow boots. Or snow swirling around Times Square at night. Or watching my sister become an expert in hailing and stealing cabs in desperation to keep warm and dry.

The other two days we were there, we savoured the city under crystal clear blue skies and stunning sunshine, justifying all the songs celebrating autumn in New York. So, in a way, we were lucky. Two seasons in a single weekend!

My favourite parts of the weekend, however, were the shows. We saw two bonafide Broadway shows, and they were absolutely spectacular!

Hugh Jackman: Back on Broadway

Anything Goes
(with Sutton Foster!!!)

Thank you, New York, for a wonderful long weekend.
You're definitely one of my favourite cities,
and I simply must visit you more often!
(I'm just going to bring boots next time!)

You are so fortunate Lisa! I'm so glad you got to see both of these shows - I love Sutton and Hugh but have never been to New York. . . So glad you had such a great time!
