Scarecrow and Mrs. King

I've been on a huge nostalgia kick lately, mostly a bunch of TV shows, music and movies I grew up with. I find it interesting to see in retrospect the things that influenced how I see the world today.

For example, a little show called Scarecrow and Mrs. King. I honestly used to think my sister and I were the only people religiously watching the syndicated reruns on the Family Channel. However, I've since discovered it was very popular at its peak and still has a strong cult following today.

Fast forward nearly 25 years later, as I sit here happily married to my best friend, and I can't help but credit Lee and Amanda for teaching my starry-eyed 10-year old self a thing or two about the mushy stuff. They are easily one of my favourite on-screen duos of all time.

It's definitely true;
they just don't make 'em like they used to.
